What hope is this?

What hope is this
That so firmly kept the men of past
Through the furnace, through the lions and death ?
They believed in a Great King
That So surely was to come
They were certain of the promise once received

His is the kingdom everlasting
And I bless the Most High sitting in Heaven`s throne
From generation to generation
His dominion shall rule o`er everyone

What hope is this
That in Christ`s disciples hearts abided
When the first of them got stoned and died ?
They were sure that such a loss
Would bring glory to the Son
The returning King that conquered in a cross

What hope is this
That today helps christians under threats
Facing weapons pointed to their heads ?
Its the same hope one can have
When, through faith in Christ, believes:
The transforming true that our Redeemer lives
